BELLE MARE LAGOON

Ideal for your diving initiation. Amongst the impressive “plateau d”acropora” we will come across a multitude of reef fish for example, convict fish, sergeant major fish, trumpet fish, parrot fish and butterfly fish. Hand in hand with your diving instructor you can be initiated into the rich Mauritian coral reefs. One can also accompany the divers and do some snorkeling.

BELLE-MARE PASS

This is most probably the dive that attracts most of our visitors on the East Coast. We get dropped in the lagoon and then let ourselves be transported in the current through this channel where we can meet black jacks, jacks with big eyes, eagle sting rays, reef sharks and other predators as well as “LEON” the old solitary barracuda that has his place reserved. There are many discoveries to be made in this site and you can enjoy the dizzy sensation of “flying” with the current.

JAPANESE GARDEN 19–24M

A luxurious site with a huge variety of coral life. You can find numerous different species of fish in the underwater garden: flying gurnards, groupers, yellow crescent tails, angelfish, butterfly fish, surgeons, trigger fish, labres and nudibranchs… The visit to this site is a real treasure hunt. A dive appreciated by the photographers.

LONG CLIFF 17–27M

This dive is alongside a gentle descent where the diver discovers a coral wall where there is a multitude of very colourful tropical fish. The visibility is generally very good and it is not rare to encounter big predators.

SEA FAN VALLEY 22-30M

This is a dive that is accessible to all. A little further from “Long Cliff” the diver will discover the “Sea Fan Valley” Floating above the sea fans alongside the walls this opening is like a fairytale. Here we find a huge variety of tropical fish, lobsters are very common, as well as passages of tunas and blue jacks.

SEA FAN FOREST 22–33M

This is only for experienced divers. Here we are greeted by green parrot fish that play hide and seek in the Sea Fan Forest with their thick trunks, behind which we find hiding, groupers, box-fish, puffer fish and bat-fish. Around the peak we can come across shoals of blue fin skip jack and regular groups of dog tooth tuna. It’s a very colourful and lively site. A beautiful dive with a very clear visibility that doesn’t leave one indifferent as to the peaceful serenity of the place.

CASTLE (CHÂTEAU) 14-23M

This site evolves around little corridors with walls which are covered with coral and pure white sand below where the light plays an astonishing spectacle. The whole scene looks like a maze in a castle. Here the divers can admire the density of the jagged corals that surrounds them and also meet with little turtles. A pretty little dive that’s very enjoyable and where the fauna and flora are very rich. Ideal for photographers.

CANYON 5-30M

This is an enormous stretch of ocean made up of 5 canyons that the diver can climb one by one. The reef slope is superb. The corals are artistically shaped. There is a multicoloured fauna.
