Exceptional Diving Experience with Dive Passion – Belle Mare, Mauritius
I spent a July break in the Belle Mare area of Mauritius and had the pleasure of diving with Dive Passion. I contacted the team directly on site and had a great chat with the instructors and divers. From the outset, I felt confident I was in good hands – the equipment, boat, and facilities were all of a high standard.My dive buddy, Jean Charles, was incredibly professional and clearly knows the local dive sites like the back of his hand. With what must be thousands of hours logged in these waters, his calm, confident, and reassuring approach helped both seasoned divers and novices feel safe and relaxed – even in the deeper areas.We were able to explore the vibrant coral reef and witness an incredible range of marine life including barracuda, sea turtles, and white-tip reef sharks. Despite the brisk July southern winter winds and some open-sea surges, the team managed everything smoothly, making the experience enjoyable and stress-free.One of the highlights was seeing a fellow French visitor successfully complete her PADI certification under the careful supervision of her instructor – a real testament to the team’s teaching capabilities. I also appreciated that beginner dives and initiations are done directly in the shallow reef bay rather than a pool, which gives a much more authentic and exciting introduction to scuba diving.This was the highlight of my trip to Mauritius – highly recommended for anyone looking to dive in a safe, professional, and enjoyable environment.

Absolutely brilliant with Vishal my instructor.
I did a refresher course as I had not been diving since 2022, my instructor Vishal was absolutely brilliant, after the refresher we came back to the centre briefly then out again in the boat for the main dive, getting over the reef was a tad tricky but boat had two huge outboards, we arrived at the dive site and started our dive, the current was rather strong, my dive lasted 30 minutes and went down to 17.5 metres. The visibility was okay considering the water movement. Vishal was very attentive and I felt very safe and comfortable with him. I highly recommend Vishal he is very thorough and has a very calming manner. Lots of fish and very pretty coral’s.

Superb instructors and beautiful reefs
I recently stayed at The Residence hotel and I wanted to do a open water padi course , so I booked myself in when I arrived. I was immediately greeted with friendly and helpful staff who were very knowledgeable and provided superb, careful and informative instruction during the course. The instructors have a wealth of experience and calmly gave superb communication above and below the water. I cant recommend them enough, I will definitely be going back some day as the diving there is beautiful. Much thanks to Ben, Jean Michel and Vishal for helping me get my certification.

Diving
Super positive experience nice people and with a smile, helpful and professional.As soon as I arrived they immediately welcomed me very well offering me water or coffee and made me feel at ease.They speak English French and Italian also.The excursion was very well organized with 2 sites visited with different backdrops all with extreme safety and attention from the guide.Structure that is located in a very nice hotel that also offers parking is a beautiful beach where you can stay in tranquility.I recommend this experience to everyone

A wonderful diving experience at Belle Mare
We had not expected to dive on our recent holiday at The Residence Hotel, Belle Mare, Mauritius, but after snorkelling and finding very healthy reef, decided to give it a go. We have regular experience of diving worldwide and have been disappointed on some of our recent trips at the state of coral health. Here, we found exceptional healthy mainly hard but also soft coral with plentiful colourful fish just a five minute boat ride from shore. This operation is run by a wonderful team of helpful staff. We were exceptionally looked after by Ben, the owner, who treated us like royalty and helped us in and out of the water (as we are getting elderly..). He showed us the underwater sights with care and attention, pointing out some tiny nudibranch as well as large coral structures. We had brought no dive gear, but this was all provided and of good quality. I highly recommend this dive centre and hope we will be able to return soon.
